Notice Of Impending Conviction For Failure To Respond
Provincial Offences Act Section 18(1) Talks about a Notice of Impending Conviction if you ignore a parking ticket.
Is a municipality required to issue one these (will they always issue one)?
Or is it optional and just dependent on the municipality?
Thanks
Re: Notice Of Impending Conviction For Failure To Respond
They are supposed to issue a Notice of Impending Conviction is you don't respond to the ticket after 15 days, if the ticket was issued under the Provincial Offences Act. If the ticket was issued under an AMP system then I think they don't have too.
Re: Notice Of Impending Conviction For Failure To Respond
18(1) States: "The person designated by the regulations may give the defendant a notice of impending conviction......"
This implies that the notice is not mandatory at all.
