“Hit And Run And The Car Left The Scene”

Please excuse the language in the video.

I was approaching a traffic light controlled intersection when the light was going to turn red. The van on the other lane decided to change lane in order to make the light since the car at the very front was making a left turn. He made a sudden left causing me to do my best to maneuver my way around the van. This has caused me to not think about braking hard because the car would dive straight should the tires lock up and lose their grip. I got out of my car and looked at the dude and pointed to the parking lot because he didn't get out of his car. I pulled into the parking lot and I saw his car going straight.

I normally would brush off minor damages to my car but this guy didn't stop, get out of his car and exchange info.

My driver side mirror got some serious scruffs on it which won't go away.

So my question is, if i were to present this to the collision center, will i, at anyway, be partially at fault? Will the insurance see this as me being 25% at fault or something?

The collision centre wouldn't assign fault percentages. If there was a charge to be laid, that's a possibility. The only person who needs to worry is the other driver, who will probably get a knock on the door.

Fault determinations is based on the Fault Determination Rules, which are standard for all insurance providers. The other driver is 100% at fault. You should have nothing to worry about.
