23 Yr Old Female Speeding 130 On 90 Hwy 17 Thunder Bay, Reduced From 140

Unread post by nch2021 »

I am a 23 year old female with G2, got my first speeding ticket in Thunder Bay. Our rental car is accidently set on miles/hr instead of km/h. Since I don't drive much, I couldn't really tell the difference (all other passengers were asleep). I don't think I was close to 140km/h but I did speed quite a bit (on a 90 km/h highway near Thunder Bay). The officer was nice enough to not suspend my license/toll my car/ give me stunt driving ticket, so I got a ticket for 130.

I am leaning toward option 2, but some of my friends encourage me to go for option 3. I tried calling them to schedule option 2, but they say they will not reduce any fines or points, and will get back to me on scheduling. Read a lot of posts regarding option 3, fighting it off would be great, but it might reset to stunt driving. Also, I heard there is a negotiation phase before the trial, so I can still negotiate in option 3?

Thanks for your advices in advance!
