Do Police Get Pay By Going To The Court Date?
It seems police show up more often than before. And they are more friendly with the prosecutor, and their scheduling with police.
Anyone notice that?

Our court is scheduled to coincide with our day shifts. I suspect this is becoming the norm.

What I have seen with OPP is that they schedule trial date based on officers shift, so 99% of the time the officer will be there. Very very rare for OPP officer not to show up for trial.

So you are saying court date is scheduled without considering your shift? I doubt that is changed.

BTW, noone has answered the original question:" Do police get pay when they are going to the court?" It seems they do get paid and happy to sit there.

Yes, officers are paid to attend Court, it's part of their job. One of the main reasons Court is scheduled on their working days is to avoid the payment of overtime.
