Address On Permit

Unread post by KK »

Hi all,

first post on this forum. When I received a speeding ticket last week, I realized the vehicle permit had my former address. At the time I was surprised since I remember changing address at a Kiosk(maybe it was just for my license).

Received a +$85 ticket for incorrect address....OHTA 9(2).

Went to License office yesterday and found that address was up to date on their computer.

Is it worth challenging that I had changed my address but the permit was not current?

thanks in advance,KK

I would say it depends when you changed your address.

If you changed months ago then I suggest you are fubar-ed. If you changed it and after a reasonable time (2-3 weeks) you hadn't received an updated one, the onus is on you to follow thru and get the updated copy, via MTO.

If it was recent, then you might have an arguement.
