Determining Original Speed When Code "r" Indicated
My wife just got nabbed leaving a school zone on Keele just above Bloor with 2 cars infront and several behind - the ticket was 69 in a 40 - community safety zone and the code was market "R". She was never told how fast she was actually going but I am more than curious how much it was reduced. In addition, when shooting the gun directly at oncoming cars, how can they possibly accurately get the third car back with 2 cars directly between the police and my wife?

The only way to know what speed she was originally doing would be to get the officer's notes via a disclosure request.
If the police were using lidar (which they probably were), they can easily target each vehicle independently, unless they're driving about three inches off each others' bumper.

FYI I'm pretty sure 29 over is the maximum speed that can be issued on regular ticket for a community safety zone. 30+ over has no set fine and requires a summons.

Stanton is correct...30km plus is a summons...fines would be huge
