Set Fine Or Total Payable (online Payment)
Hello, my question is very simple and I apologize if this has already been asked elsewhere, but I haven't been able to find a definitive answer on it.
I have received a red-light camera ticket and I would like to go ahead and pay it online, which I am able to do. My only trouble is that I am not sure what payment amount to make, whether the "set fine" amount or the "total payable". On the one hand I have read that the "Set Fine" amount is for settlement out of court (which would be my case), but from different comments I've read it would seem everyone has to pay the victim fine and applicable surcharge as well (total payable) regardless of how they're making the payment. Is that right?
Re: Set Fine Or Total Payable (online Payment)
You're correct, you must pay the total payable. Victim surcharge and court costs are always added to the set fine.
