Date of offence and date of conviction are on the abstracts that I look at in court. Can't say about the ones that the insurance company may get. As for demerit points though (insurance companies really don't care about them) they come off after 2 years from the date of offence.

Seems like you got a really good deal out of it for 149 over.

My question to you : did you talk to the Crown at the trial day? or did you go to an early resolution meeting? what did you bring with you when you talk to the Crown ? any caselaws you have brought up ?

And following the 149 over, how much did the insurance increase ? just need a ballpark not the exact number

I really need some help on this part as I am facing the same situation.

Thanks bud

I went to early resolution, and I had all my ducks in a row, pictures, notes, cases, all kinds of sheeeet, I was preparing for the worst and it was a big waste of time in the end. As I mentioned in other post, they offered me the deal, then I carefully dipped my toe in the negotiation waters, found them to be a little choppy, and then took what I had and sailed away. (I got the feeling if I pushed any more than I had, I was just going to irritate him and could end up 'drowning'). The thing with this is, you just never know what you are going to get as it will depend on who are talking to that day, the last time they got "some", etc etc

As for the insurance crooks, I am pretty sure it is only being counted as a "minor" ticket. Some companies consider anything over 145 major, and I was worried about this but my company must be considering 150+

Good luck, dress nice, be nice, smile when you say hello, and say your prayers

Thank you for that. It is the insurance and their lofty rates I am worried about, so if anyone knows which date (offence or conviction) they see and which they act on for raising the rates and then finally dropping the rates after the LONGGGGG 3 year wait please someone let me know

TIA

Thanks a lot man ! So where do those early resolution meetings happen ? did you speak to the Crown at the court house ? on the trial day or before the trial day?
