No Insurance Court Date
I have my court date coming up and still haven't figured out one thing.
If the prosecution cannot prove that I did not have insurance on that day I was charged then am I found not guilty? Or is the onus on me to prove that I did have insurance?
Appreciate any replies!
Re: No Insurance Court Date
It's a reverse onus offence, meaning you must prove that you were insured. The Crown needs only show that you were the owner of the vehicle being operated.
