My son got a speeding ticket near Ottawa but he is in Waterloo, can he arrange trial in Waterloo or Toronto.

No.
You go to court, courts don't go to you
yes, i understand just because he has school. I have been thinking to represent him at the trail, but driving five hours each way is too much for me. Is there any ticket fighter near L Orignal, ON and what will be the estimated cost.

There are some paralegal agencies that are willing to travel anywhere in Ontario to provide representation for a traffic ticket. For 20-30 km/h over, the latest info I have is that they charge about $250-$350, but that may only get you down to 15 km/h over (no demerit points). Depends on the paralegal. Some say "we'll win or it's free," but that only refers to getting it knocked down instead of dropped or beaten completely. If the ticket was closer to 50 km/h over you might be looking at $500+. There should be some paralegals in Ottawa who would be able to help your son, L'Orignal isn't that far.

Paralegals aren't allowed to advertise that anymore. If they do that is against the LSUC.
Usually they will bring the ticket down, and that is considered a win. But even if they lose you still must pay them.
Thanks.
Thank you Radar. His speed is over 40.
I will look up at the Ottawa yellow page.
Wow well if your willing to spend all that money and drive that far,
why dont you buy a nice radar detector for the car. STi-R or the Passport CI.
Dont drive that fast if you cant afford it. You should really teach him thats a bad habbit.
Unfortunately while everyone else was going 120-130 which means he was only really 10-20 over the limit he now gets slapped with going 40 over.
Yes, I agree and he learn the lesson already because he has to pay the cost himself.

Great idea for another $170 and 3 demerit points on top of a speeding ticket.
