Failed To Completely Stop At A Fork Intersection

Unread post by arshas »

I believe to have been handed the most bullshit of traffic tickets to date. I was driving down the street at night where there is a fork in the street and to get onto this street from one of the roads there is a stop sign. Funny thing is one of the 3 streets at this intersection has been blocked for months due to construction so due to the nature of the situation I decided to come to a brief rolling stop and continue on my way.

That is when I acquired this ticket. I have attached two pictures to explain the situation, please advise!

Well a stop sign is a stop sign regardless of the other road being blocked off, so if that is going to be your defense in court, then you will lose!

You should still plead NOT GUILTY and request a Trial with the officer present. Once you get your notice of trial, then you can request disclosure (officers notes). Once you get the notes, post them here.

Also ask the local municipality for a copy of any by-laws related to the stop sign.

+++ This is not legal advice, only my opinion +++
