Obey Sign 182(2) Ticket
hey guys,
so today i got a ticket near eastmall and dundas .... i was on dundas ave west....there are doted lines on the far right lane for buses and trucks i suppose...a car cut me off so i jumped into the doted lane where buses and trucks belong because i didnt have enough time to slow down and give him that spot...there are also cars and vans on that dotted lane...i had my left signal on because i wanted to get back into that lane....but these drivers didnt gimme space...so i put my right signal on and planned on making a right turn into eastmall road which was approximately 15meters away...a cop pulls me over quickly tickets me saying i didnt obey a sign
and that cop was in the far left lane on dundas...he moved 3 lanes over and stopped me
so im not sure what to do....ima g2 driver...ticket is $110 (-2points) as well
if anyone has advice please post
thanks in advance

fight the ticket, go to court and explain what happened. If you can remember details, now is the time to write them down.
wats the chances tho...of winning it ?
and its my first time too.....he didnt tell me if i lost points or not
im asssuming i am if i pay the fine
but iam planning on fighting it

No one ever "loses" points.....more of a video game you collect the points and eventually you will get a prize......an interview....or if you collected the bonus points you can hand in your licence.
lol ic ic ... but whats the chances of me winning this ... im new to this ... never got a ticket be4 in my life
does anyone know how i can take this ticket to court?
and where to take it ?
You do not have to take it to court. You can mail it, with option 3 (I intend to challenge this ticket or something to that effect) box checked off. The courthouse location is at the back of your ticket.

IF this is your first ever ticket, I would say go into First Attendance and take your Driving Abstract with you, which you can get at a local MTO.
Explain yourself to him and ask for a reduction. He can/might offer you something to plead down to.
You can also ask for Disclosure before hand.
like they can take away the points and just make me pay the fine ?
i have a feeling im just gonna take this to my lawyer and get him to deal with this ... i definitely need to win this
anyways, thanks to u all for your help...reall appreciate it

I rarely see a lawyer in traffic court, not saying they do not come. Things that I see are a lot of "outsourcing". Most times you pay the lawyer (ie $600) who then pays a paralegal ($300) to do the case for him/you......lawyer just made $300 by hiring the paralegal.

tamilrmx, you did not state what the sign says. Was it a bus lane during designated hours? I haven't been there in a while but I believe those signs are not valid, they have to be bilingual (info about this is on my site).
I suggest you
- request a trial,
- request disclosure,
- ask for an early court date
They must provide a copy of the by-law to you which creates the bus lane. Chances are they won't and you will have an excellent opportunity to get your charge stayed.
You can fight this ticket. You just need to learn how.
thanks ticketcombat....your site is really useful as well
