I've been wanting to do something like that for awhile but thinking more of a surveillance cam that I could leave in the car when parked (I've had my share of scrape and runs). Have you ever used the video in court? And is the speedometer visible?Bookm wrote:Not something I'll ever be concerned with

It is, but I can't seem to get decent quality out of Youtube. Also, this tape has been overwritten about 20 times. Still good enough for fault evidence though.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6IjLWEMMgsI waited till minicam prices came down to my level ($230) before I could get one. There's a simple wingnut holding it in place (securely) so I can remove it easily. Now I feel very vulnerable driving without it. Never used in court yet. Cheap insurance though.
I hit black ice E/B on Lakeshore right on the bridge that crosses the Don River @ 3am in 1989, scary stuff and over in a instant!
Brand new Rz350 slid right through that intersection, while I stopped slidding right at the white line

AH HA....ice is still clear......it's the colour beneath showing through

Well technically black is the absence of color or specifically, the absence of light. That is, black does not reflect or emit any light to the visual receptors in the eye. That's why you can't see black ice. But since we are so off topic: Bear, I concede, you win!hwybear wrote:AH HA....ice is still clear......it's the colour beneath showing through

Once again proving that any argument can be settled over a brewski.
